Camera phone fun @ “The Bedroom” Nightclub
Oh to have a camera phone! Thankyou Andrew for these happy snaps of me with (part of) the gang a few months ago in Surfer’s Paradise. (Jamie, I’m still waiting for those videos of you drunk… I mean “straight as an arrow.”) EUCADOR!!!

Food glorious food!
I love good food. I really love good food. I presently can’t cook much, but boy do I love to eat! (Ask my friends- my stomach is a bottomless pit aparently).
This diet thing is quite a challenge- not because of a lack of delicious gluten and dairy free recipes out there, but because I have to cook them myself (see above re. me and cooking). Everytime I go out with friends I end up breaking my diet. There have got to be suitable places I can eat at around Brisbane, but I don’t yet know where they are. And my kitchen isn’t exactly well stocked at the moment (in fact technically I don’t even have a kitchen).
So making the most of my present situation is challenging. I must say thank god for my best friend Adam though. If he wasn’t with me the other night I would have totally given in and bought pizza or nachos (mmmmm! *drool*). But despite my pathetic whining he helped me to stick to the plan, and in the process I discovered a new delicious gluten free recipe which I intend to make a lot more because it was so damn GOOD. (I’ll share the recipe here later).
I am also finally over my coffee cravings, and now I actually enjoy drinking my “fake coffee” (Dandelion root tea). Although I must admit that I snuck in a small Gloria Jeans mocha caramelatte with toffee the other day while visiting Renee. It had toffeee and choooocolaate in it *grin*. This could take me a while…
“The Secret” book club
YAY! It’s the printed version of the awesome documentary film “The Secret” (almost word for word with pretty pictures). It’s so pweeety and shiny. It’s normally $40 but I got it ON SALE for $16 at Border’s Books in Brisbane. Specials yeah! So if you have been wanting to get it, now is a good time
Hey, let’s pretend that this is a bookclub and read it together! Then we can have discussions about it by commenting to this post
(If you haven’t already seen the documentary film I highly recommend it!)
Fun Activity:
I’m going to open “The Secret” at a random page and share whichever quote with you that’s infront of me. Ready? Let the game begin!
“Thoughts become things!”
-Mike Dooley
“The predominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet,
and the law is that like attracts like,
consequently, the mental attitude will invariably
attract such conditions as correspond to its nature”
- Charles Haanel (1866-1949).
“Thoughts become things!”
-Mike Dooley
“Here’s the problem. Most people are thinking about what
they don’t want, and they’re wondering
why it shows up over and over again.”
- John Assaraf
“The law of attraction is always working,
whether you believe it or understand it or not”
- Bob Proctor
“Creation is always happening.
Every time an individual has a thought, or a
prolonged chronic way of thinking, they’re in the creation process.
Something is going to manifest out of those thoughts”
- Michael Bernard Beckwith
Another link to my photo gallery
Hey, I just noticed while viewing this page on a PC in Netscape, that my photo gallery page seems to have disappeared. (Boo!) So until I fix it, here’s the link:

Well, I decided not to learn PHP from scratch. WHAT WAS I THINKING?! I did scan the basics, but only what I needed to get my ideas to work. I am a visual designer and creator, not a programmer. I’m definitely more right than left-brained when it comes to stuff. So I’ll keep making things pretty and outsource the rest.
UPDATE ON THE NO MORE COFFEE SITUATION: It sux. I’ve been so “bleh” the last couple of days without it. But I am cosying up to the idea of roasted dandelion tea. It’s the same colour and almost the same taste, so I figure I might be able to trick my subconscious mind into thinking there’s caffeine in it
Oh… here’s a new picture of yours truly enjoying my cousins’ gluten and dairy free birthday cake… and it’s pink! ;p

Why Centrelink Sux
- Because even after I jumped through all their hoops, filled out their forms and went to the interviews, they stuffed up majorly and didn’t pay me, so I had to get an emergency food voucher from the student guild so I could eat… ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!
- Because I recieved three letters from them on the same day… The first one said that my Austudy claim had been granted, the second letter said that it had been cancelled because I hadn’t filled out some form, and the third letter contained the form. (This has happened several times).
- Because they have taken so long to process my claim that I had to go and stay with my mum for two weeks because I had no money or food.
- Because every year that I’m a university student, giving up and becoming a stripper becomes more and more an attractive prospect.
“Become a full-time uni student today!!!”
(Future leaders of tomorrow… YESS!!!
Let’s starve them to death or force them to become strippers!
Nice one Australian government…
you’re gonna have a really talented workforce real soon ;p)
Goodbye Gluten & Dairy!
~ NEWS ~
I’m starting on a new diet, which involves eating foods which are supposedly best for my bloodtype. This is on the advice of my new natropath, who mum took me to see after his advice cured her of some seriously painful arthritis. I’m hoping it will help to improve my own health aswell.
Bad news= No more wheat & dairy (which is in pretty much everything I eat)
Good news= My mum has been on this same diet for a while now and is a goddess in the kitchen who is able to share yummy recipes and tips with me.
Just look what I had for dinner at her place the other night… and look, lemon meringue pie! -with a couple of minor modifications, but which tastes equally as grand as the pies mum made in “the good ol’ days”. Some diet! :))
I’ll keep you updated on how it goes! ;p
