Early this morning I woke up and experienced an epiphany that I  felt guided to write down and share. Here are some notes from my journal…

If someone is addicted to facebook, then its an individual weakness/problem with them, NOT Facebook. People need to take responsibility for their own actions and weaknesses, instead of blaming or giving away their power to any “thing” outside of themselves, including the perceived external environment etc. Facebook, the internet, (or any technology for that matter), isn’t “bad” or “evil” in itself, it “just is” a TOOL that can be used for good or evil, depending on what’s going on within the individual operating it. Technology and various media tools can be used both to entertain and inspire good, or to crush, damage and take down, depending on what’s happening within the individual operating it.

From my perspective, some conservative Christians seem to be the worst culprits at giving up their own inner power and responsibility to something “outside or apart from themselves”. No wonder they tend to also be “against” things like free uncensored internet, what they currently consider to be “immodest dress”, homosexuals or even porn. Take responsibility for yourself! Nurture the Holy Spirit within yourself and your own family, and stop blaming what’s happening “out there”!

…God help us all! Here is episode#1 in which I discuss my love of books, while (very) lightly touching upon the concept of reality… Before you watch it though, be sure you’ve seen this first, which is a lovely video about one woman’s love of cats.

The Avengers movie trailer – sweded!

December 15, 2011

A couple of years back, I blogged about the ‘sweded’ Star Wars and X-Men films that my friends and I from Brisbane SciFi & Fantasy club made. It looks like sweded filmmaking is once again a topic of the hour on the interwebs… behold- someone (not us) made a sweded movie trailer for the upcoming [...]

Banned From the Bible, and other Books of Wisdom

August 26, 2011

I’ve decided that there are too many things on planet Earth that fascinate me, that I want to study, and that even if I live to be 200, I would barely scratch the surface. So I’ll just have to come back in another lifetime, seriously warp time, and/or live for hundreds of years like they [...]

Random theory of the day

July 10, 2011

Todays random theory of the day is about brainwashing. Years back when my family started in network marketing, they’d listen to personal development, leadership, and motivational tapes almost constantly. There was usually one playing in the background, while cooking dinner; during car trips; cleaning the house. Other people said it was a form of brainwashing. [...]

Hello smart phone

May 20, 2011

I’m writing this post from my groovy new HTC desire HD smart phone. I’ve never had a ‘smart’ phone before. Last night after dance class I showed it to a friend. There were animated clouds and little windscreen wipers going across the home screen. It was my phone’s way of telling me that it was [...]

An Ode to The Mysterious Cities of Gold

One of the greatest cartoons (and memorable cartoon theme songs) of all time. It’s South American history and archaeology, mixed with science fiction! Estaban is a young Spanish orphan who was saved from a ship wreck at sea.  The only clue to his origins is a strange medallion around his neck. He is taken to [...]

How to dance ‘Thriller’

November 10, 2010

I recently fulfilled a long-time goal of dancing Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, in public, while dressed as a zombie. Yup. Other people make goals about stuff they want to accomplish in their career, or about owning a boat, or whatever. I am more about rich experiences. Because ultimately; fun, rewarding experiences that help us grow as human [...]

November 10, 2010

Okay, so, once again I’ve had a crazy (yet interesting) couple of months, and I have quite  a bit to catch up on. I really do need to try harder to blog about this stuff as it’s happening, rather then a month or two after the fact. By then, I tend to forget all the [...]

Autobiography of a Yogi

October 5, 2010

Wow, I’ve just discovered that drinking a can of Mother energy drink during the day helps me write. I just typed five journal articles for my academic supervisor, as part of my publishing internship. Here’s an excerpt from one: “The editor liked my idea for an article about ‘How to Bend Time’. In my very informal [...]

When I nearly died

September 17, 2010

Every few years I either go on an accidental journey to inner-hell and back, or get dumped with an experience from the Universe that makes me grow stronger as a person. I am going through one such transitional phase right now (hmph- my whole life is a “transition phase”- I think I need to stop [...]

Notes from my internship journal #1

September 15, 2010

Well, it’s been a slow start, but I’m finally on the threshold of starting my internship (as opposed to merely preparing for it). I’ll be working on my two favourite magazines: Spheres: The Spirit Guide and Spellcraft magazines during my internship with Metier Media. I am feeling quite nervous because I haven’t written anything in [...]

Yeah, so I really need to get back in the habit of writing regularly, especially now that I’ll be undertaking a publishing internship at a magazine. I promise I’ll try to make it as entertaining as possible. Look! A kitten in a funny hat… Aah man that picture cracks me up everytime. On a totally unrelated [...]

Notes from my diary

July 9, 2010

I keep being drawn back to my path, like a moth to the flame. It intertwines my existence and I have ignored it for too long. It’s who I am, who I have to be. I once again accept this into my life with love and pure intent. When you accept yourself for who you [...]
